Dubai Future Council for Blockchain Holds 2nd Meeting.
The Dubai Future Council for Blockchain is part of the "Dubai Future Councils" initiative was launched by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Crown Prince of Dubai to find innovative solutions for strategic sectors and forecast their future over the next 50 years. It brings together local and global decision-makers from various government departments and private companies. This includes members of the leadership at Smart Dubai as well as Dr. Marwan Alzarouni\; Raja Al Mazrouei, Executive Vice President of FinTech Hive – DIFC; Joseph Lubin, Co-Founder of ConsenSys; Ola Doudin, CEO at BitOasis and Faisal Al Hawi, Smart Dubai’s Product Manager for Blockchain and Trust Services, serves as the council’s Coordinator.
Till Payments Partnership Agreement
On July 24th, 2019 Till Payments and Austrade welcomed cryptocurrency pioneer and CEO of the Dubai Blockchain Center, Dr Marwan Alzarouni. He visited Till Payments after their double Australian Blockchain Industry Awards win, meeting with CEO Shadi Haddad and the Till team, to witness the patented blockchain based intelligent payment and revenue assurance systems first-hand.
Investment Deals at Arab Youth Startup Marketplace
DUBAI, 2nd May, 2019 (WAM) -- More than ten finance and investment deals and partnerships have been struck between young Arab entrepreneurs and investors during the second Arab Youth Startup Marketplace, AYSM, which was organised under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the AYC. Ohoud bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Happiness and Wellbeing; Dena Assaf, UN Resident Coordinator for the UAE; and Dr Marwan Ibrahim Alzarouni, CEO, Dubai Blockchain Center, visited the AYSM and gained insight about the creative startups on display.
